I'm back to the boring white sky and never ending rain of Chengdu. I had a great time in Shangri-la and plan to go back as soon as possible. Can't wait to have Kesang's awesome Yak noodles and some Dali beer. Thanks a lot to all three of you! Say hello to FeiFei and her cute rabbitt from me. Cheers. /Nick

Wow!  What a great place, and what great people.  Russ and Kesang and Fei Fei are the perfect hosts to get to know Shangri-la and environs.  The cafe is comfy, the food is great, the company superb.  And a trip to Nixi with Russ and Kesang is an extraordinary experience.  Let them take care of all your travel and trekking needs and you will be in good hands.  Thanks so much for such a marvelous time in a wonderful place.

We had a fantastic trip to Nixi village in early spring, together with Russ and his brother in law. I can really recommend everyone, mayby not the jak butter tea though. I´d like to come back to see more of the area when it´s a bit warmer, flowers in the fields etc. Thanks a lot, Russ, Kesang (and Fei Fei)/ Magdalena

Like to send greetings from Sweden. Remeber us, u got some issues of the Economist. We came home and started working but that´s alright cause the trip was the best and also inspiring. Shangri La and the Tiger leaping Gorge were favourites. We spent three days in the mountains and went to Lijang which was terrible. We couldn´t even find our way out from old town. Never saw so many people per m2. We ended the trip with one week in Bangkok. Good luck with everything and thanks for interresting discussions and nice drinks. If we come back one day we will check in on You.

We feel that there is no better place in Yunnan to become oriented in English, Chinese, Tibetan, Japanese, or Vietnamese.

Just ask the owners as you sip or consume their delicious food and drink.

They also can help with your personal travel plans through their extensive links to helpful resourses.

The best cafe and restaurant on the old town of Shangri-la. Thanks for your food suggestion, services and the travel information. Hey Russ, really nice talk with you.
